SEEDS
“Насіння” or “Seeds” is a photo documentary project focusing on women of the Ukrainian community doing cultural, political, and activist work to uplift Ukraine. It premiered on January 17, 2026 at the Wende Museum as part of a show on love and joy in the Eastern Europe. I began this project as a way to highlight the women of my community who were championing Ukraine, not in spite of being far from Ukrainian land but because of it. Like seeds being spread across land, they grow Ukraine wherever they go. I saw their actions as resistance in their own right and in turn my photos as resistance as well. We are echoing – for ourselves and for our Ukrainians on and near the frontlines – that we are still here.
